First we got The Incredibles 2, now we get Toy Story 4. Pixar! Stop spoiling us! So it’s time to act like a child again and relive our childhoods, and hold on tight, to infinity and beyond, summer 2019 is going to be a big one.
Yes, you heard me correctly, Pixar has announced a summer release date for Toy Story 4. It has been 8 years since Toy Story was last on our screens and we said a sad goodbye to Andy and all of his toys, as they went to their new home with Bonnie.
But now, we have been given a teaser trailer, which includes all of the well-known characters, including Woody, Buzz and Jessie. But there is a new character by the looks of it, a fork, which goes by the very original name of ‘Forky’. Things don’t look great for the toys, as Forky yells “I don’t belong here!” making the other toys fall over each other.
There has been another teaser trailer showing two more new characters. A duck and a rabbit, which go by the names of, yes you’ve guessed it, ‘Ducky and Bunny’. Pixar! Top points for the originality on the names! Could you not think of anything more creative?
These two characters are seen ‘mocking’ Buzz Lightyear’s classic catchphrase… “To Infinity and Beyond”. Instead we get “To Infinity and your mom”. It is a good way of getting everyone in the spirit for the film.
But are four films too many? Should they have left it at three? I personally don’t think so. If you look on social media, everybody is talking about it and everybody is so excited. This film was one of the first films that I can remember, and it doesn’t matter how old you get, we all secretly want to know how Woody and the gang have been coping without Andy.
